the Muckland Crooners

L.Ron Lee

L. Ron Lee  is a familiar face to music aficionados in upstate NY, and the natural front man for the Muckland Crooners.  A consummate Showman and a world class talent on guitar in his own right, LRL also brings a sweeping range of vocal skills to the table.  His distinctive songwriting often combines elements of comedy, edgy poetry and breathtaking instrumental work.  Over the years, his style has gained him a wide and devoted cult following.  Anyone who sees L. Ron Lee in action, will invariably become an instant fan.

Captain Mudflap drives the rhythm section of the Crooners with hisFlap patented "guitashboard" playing.  He also switches off on guitar, steel guitar, ukulele and god-knows what-all.  His smooth baritone voice feels as comfortable as an old pair of shoes.
The Captain has the unique gift of writing songs that instantly seem like they've been a timeless part of the culture.  He IS Muckland Music incarnate, but a number of years in Texas have also seasoned his music with a taste of that Lonestar feel.  His return to upstate NY in 2007 cleared the way the for latter day reunion of the band.

'K' (or sometimes: "Knotlenny") may be living proof that reincarnation exists.  He displays all the earmarks of a vaudevillian entertainer suddenly deposited in our modern world.   An "original" in every sense of the word, K is a driving force in the 'Crooners unique blend of material.  Whether building and playing his cigar box guitars or crafting songs that could have been born yesteryear, he brings all the creative energy of an artist, writer, composer, comedian and entertainer - rolled up in a tight package and stored underneath his trademark derby hat.
Driver Ed
Driver Ed rounds out the nucleus of the Muckland Crooners.  A bass player extraordinaire, Eds' contribution to the group ties all the other elements together seamlessly. Having honed his musical skills to a razor's edge with thirty-plus years of cover band work, his impeccable vocal harmonies, keen sense of timing and instinctive musical sensibilities comprise the heart and soul of the Muckland Crooners.
